How do I know if I need deck replacement or just a resurface?
Look at the structure, not the surface. If the frame, posts, ledger, or footings are rotted, soft, or shifting, the deck needs full replacement. If the structure is sound and only the boards and railings are worn, a resurface keeps the frame and replaces the surface for less. Our free assessment gives you a straight answer with photos.
Do you remove and dispose of the old deck?
Yes. Full demolition, hauling, and disposal are included in every deck replacement we quote, including pressure-treated lumber, which has specific disposal requirements. You don’t arrange anything.
Do I need a permit to replace a deck?
Yes, in every Massachusetts town we build in. Replacing a deck is new construction in the eyes of your building department. We pull the permit and manage the inspections for you.
Can I change the size or shape when I replace my deck?
Yes, and most homeowners do. Replacement is the ideal moment to add levels, change the footprint, upgrade to composite, or add lighting and built-in seating. Doing it during the rebuild costs far less than adding it later.
Do you offer deck repair?
